Beyond the classroom
Want to get involved? See below for the variety of ways you can pop in to our classes and volunteer your time where it is needed, volunteering elsewhere in the school such as in the front office, assisting with numerous fundraisers for different grades and sports, and become part of the SAC committee to make great decisions for our school, students, and community. (Note: Stop by the front office any time during school hours, pick up a volunteer application, and complete and return it to the front office. Upon a background check and approval, this will allow you to serve on the approved volunteer list for 1 school year and volunteer within schools, sports, and the community! This application must be re-submitted each new school year.)
Choose what works best for YOU!
In The Classroom
Assist in the classroom with a variety of activities, such as small group work and helping students brainstorm ideas for papers, assignments, and projects. Attend field trips with our classes to bookstores, theaters, and museums.
In The School
Assist in other areas of the school, such as in administration, where help is always needed, such as with making copies for teachers and delivering them, adding theme and decorating the front office and hallways, setting up book fairs, and displaying the scholarship option pamphlets for students.
Fundraisers
Each grade, 7th-12th, conducts fundraisers during the year to raise money for events such as class funding, prom, field trips, out of town events, etc. Also, each sport conducts fundraisers to support their league during their season, such as food plates, field signs, dinner events, cake auctions, dessert orders, etc. From time to time, help is also needed in the concession stands for baseball, softball, track, football, and basketball. Check with the front office for where help is needed!
SAC (School Advisory Council)
joining the SAC means that you are a parent and/or involved community member who takes pride in supporting our school, its staff, and its students. By joining the SAC, you can be involved in decisions such as event construction for family night and 7th grade day, as well as how aid can be created for teachers in need. Also, you can pitch ideas for fundraisers for different school clubs, sports, and grades.
